Nosy builders

photo: a building site by the canal, with a yellow JCB digger working on a moderate pile of dirt; by the JCB stand four construction workers, two of whom are unsmilingly looking at the camera.

Location: Birmingham Canal Navigations near Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

Date: Thursday 2nd July 1998.

Equipment: Canon EOS 50e using 28mm f/2.8 lens.

Emulsion: Fujifilm Superia 400.

Keywords: building site, construction workers, builders, hard hats, JCB digger, canal bank.

Notes: this photo proves three things: firstly, builders will do anything to avoid getting to work; secondly, wide-angle lenses do not automatically make a picture interesting; thirdly, I need a super-telephoto lens. (In case you can't see the nosy builders, they're standing in the left centre in front of a big mound of dirt).
