Long exposure of Ben walking with his torch

photo: above is a cloudy textured sky, gone fiery orange because of the long exposure; below is a dark canal path, a boat on the left, and hedges beside a building on the right; along the path is a wild streak of continuous torch-light, but no sign of a torch or of Ben; the streak of light is reflected in the shiny painted surface of the narrowboat and its windows.

Location: the tow path by the moorings close to Diglis Basin, Worcester.

Date: Monday 29th June 1998.

Equipment: Canon EOS 50e using 28mm f/2.8 lens.

Emulsion: Fujifilm Superia 100.

Keywords: tow path, long exposure, slow shutter speed, night time photography, torchlight.

Notes: I timed this just right, capturing Ben's torch light all the time he was still in shot.
