The guy-in-a-green-shirt who saved Diglis Basin

photo: in the background is one side of Diglis Basin, with narrowboats moored all along it; the foreground and midground are a shot along the length of the canal boat — at the back of the boat are Mark, Ben and John, more relaxed looking than they were several minutes before; now in control at the tiller is a young man in a dark green shirt, who looks slightly uneasy about the camera pointing at him, but otherwise looks very calm and in control.

Location: Diglis Basin, Worcester, Worcestershire.

Date: Sunday 28th June 1998.

Equipment: EOS 50e using 85mm f/1.8 USM lens.

Emulsion: Fujifilm Superia 100.

Keywords: moored narrowboats, onlookers, narrowboat, crew, saviour, in control, under control, relief.

Notes: this is another occasion on which I wished I had a longer focal length handy.
