Baskerville House

photo: a large, stone-white building fills the shot; in front of the building is a circular-patterned patio of black and red tiles, and beside that a grass verge; the sky is a pre-sunset blue, and the sunlight hitting the buildings is a warm yellow.

Location: Birmingham city centre, West Midlands.

Date: Thursday 2nd July 1998.

Equipment: Yashica T5 compact.

Emulsion: Fujifilm Superia 400.

Keywords: grand building, Ionic columns, hotel, urban area, city centre.

Notes: it's been almost eight years since I took this shot, and I've only just discovered that this building is called Baskerville House, named after one John Baskerville..
